Booth had three games with at least nine points and began the season with games of 20 and 19 draw controls. She is the first E8 Rookie of the Year from Alfred.
Michele and her staff of assistant coaches Madison Corcoran and Mark Michele led the Cardinals to a 6-0 record in regular season league play and their tenth straight Empire 8 title in 2022. It is the second straight season that Michele and her staff earned E8 Coaching Staff of the Year honors and Fisher’s third overall honor. Lian and her staff of assistant coaches Lindsay Gotham Cornue, Diana Schmitt and Amazjah Grant led the Golden Flyers to a 5-1 record in league play and a spot in the E8 Championship game. It is Nazareth’s sixth E8 Coaching Staff of the Year honor.
Five different teams had student-athletes earn first team accolades. Utica led the way with five selections on the first team. Overall, both St. John Fisher and Nazareth had eight all-conference selections.
One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2022 Empire 8 Women’s Lacrosse Sportswoman of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission.
