For the second year in a row, Jack Mulvihill of the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team has been named an Academic All-America selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America following his outstanding achievements on the field and in the classroom.

The announcement marked the 34th Academic All-American in Fisher's storied history as Mulvihill joins Rafael Vidal (baseball), Mark Robinson (football), Luke Lennox (men's soccer), Steve Karnyski (baseball), Jason Norsen (men's basketball), Tony Silvanic (football) and Justin Graham (baseball) as student-athletes to have won the award twice.

Mulvihill, who graduated with a Bachelor's degree focused in biology in 2021, has carried over his academic excellence to his graduate studies where he earned a 4.0 during the 2021-22 academic year.

A First-Team All-American selection by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association in late May, Mulvihill anchored Fisher's potent midfield.  Over 18 games this season, the graduate student ranked fourth on the team with a career-high 58 points including 34 goals and 24 helpers as the DeWitt native accounted for 100 shots overall.

Now a three-time USILA All-American, Mulvihill became the 10th player in program history to surpass 100 career goals earlier this year.  An Academic All-America selection last season by the College Sports Information Directors of America, Mulvihill will go down as one of the top players in team history after registering 116 career goals, 74 career assists and 190 total points – good for fifth all-time in Fisher's record book.

The Cardinals enjoyed another tremendous season in 2022 after winning their third consecutive Empire 8 Championship.  Fisher concluded the year having reached the second round of the NCAA Championship for the third season in a row while it ranked among the nation's elite teams on both ends of the field.
