The St. John Fisher University women's lacrosse team has entered the NCAA Regional and IWLCA National Rankings as the 2023 season is in high gear. The Cardinals are regionally ranked in the first set of alphabetical rankings and have moved up to No. 22 in the IWLCA Division III National poll.
Sydney Carpenter continues to contribute all over the field for the Cardinals, leading the league with 110 draw controls, while pacing the team with 37 points on 23 goals and 14 assists. Hanna Kumpf is a key contributor on the offensive side of the field for Fisher. She is currently leading the team in goals this season with 26 goals. She has eight assists on the season, nine ground balls, and 15 draw controls. Mary Fiorentino has a team-best 17 assists.
Lilly Goodsell continues to hold strong in cage for Fisher. She is leading the Empire 8 in goals against average with a 6.17 goals against average and is second with a .510 save percentage.
Shannon Foster and Maddie Lowney are leading on the defensive end. Foster has a team high of 13 caused turnovers with 20 ground balls so far this season and Lowney with 10 caused turnover and a team high of 30 ground balls.
St. John Fisher is currently 10-2 overall and 4-0 in Empire 8 play. St. John Fisher plays its final non-league game of the regular season on April 21 at home against Ithaca College and host Russell Sage College the following day. The Cardinals wrap up the regular season with conference matchups at Medaille on April 26 and at Hartwick on April 29.
