The Empire 8 Conference announced its 2024 Empire 8 Women’s Soccer Championship All-Tournament Team on Monday, Nov. 11. Graduate student forward Juliette Frischmann of SUNY Geneseo was named the Empire 8 Tournament Most Valuable Player after helping lead the Knights to their first league title in their inaugural season as an E8 member.
Frischmann scored three goals and added an assist in the three Empire 8 Tournament wins during the championship run. She began the tourney by scoring a natural hat-trick, less than 15 minutes apart in the second half in Geneseo’s 4-2 win over No. 7 Houghton University in the quarterfinal round on Nov. 2. She added an assist on Abby Foster’s game-winning goal in the E8 semifinal, a 2-0 win over No. 3 St. John Fisher on Wednesday, Nov. 6. In Saturday’s E8 Championship game, Frischmann generated several scoring opportunities, as Geneseo defeated No. 4 Nazareth, 1-0 to claim the league title and earn the automatic berth into the 2024 NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Tournament.
Frischmann was one of four Geneseo student-athletes to earn All-Tournament Team honors.
