Shannon Foster and Maggie Gannon Selected To Play in IWLCA North-South Senior All-Star Game

Defenders Shannon Foster of St. John Fisher University and Maggie Gannon of Nazareth University were selected by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) to play in the North-South Senior All-Star Game for 2024. The contest will be held at 3 p.m. from Tierney Field at USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, MD on Saturday, June 1. 
 
Foster, a native of Syracuse, NY, was recognized as a All-American Honorable Mention by USA Lacrosse. The senior was stellar again as part of a Cardinals defense that allowed a conference-low 116 goals this regular season. Foster played all 16 games this season, finishing third on the team in ground balls (25) and draw controls (33) and fourth in caused turnovers (13). A three-time All-Empire 8 first team selection, Foster was named the Empire 8 Co-Rookie of the Year in 2021 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.

Gannon, a four-year member of the Golden Flyers defense, started 59 career games. She caused 39 turnovers and picked up 51 career ground balls. A native of Williston, VT, she was named an Empire 8 First Team selection in her junior and senior seasons.
