Nazareth University used a balanced scoring attack to win the 2024 Empire 8 Women’s Golf Invitational, held at Locust Hill Country Club on Friday, Sept. 13. The Golden Flyers defeated runner-up St. John Fisher by 12 strokes to win the league invitational, on a picture-perfect 85-degree sunny day.
Nazareth recorded a final team score of 373 strokes to win by 12 strokes over the Cardinals. SUNY Geneseo finished third overall with a team total of 394 strokes, while Utica University and Keuka College rounded out the top-five.

Kayla Ringler (Loretto, PA/Penn Cambria) shot an 86 on Friday, earning individual medalist honors. Ringler won the individual title by two strokes over
Sarah Burgess of St. John Fisher. Nazareth junior
Ava Malvaso shot an 89 to place third, while
Jillian Draper of SUNY Geneseo and
Elaina Weaver of Utica finished tied for fourth.
Below are the team scores and top individual scores from the invitational. The Empire 8 All-Conference selections will be announced by the conference next week. The top five scorers at the end of the tournament will earn first-team all-conference honors with the next five finishers being named to the second team.
