The Empire 8 Women’s Golf Invitational will take place at Teugega Country Club in Rome, NY on Sunday, Oct. 12 and Monday, Oct. 13 at 12:30 p.m. each day. Nazareth University will look to repeat as E8 Invitational Championships, while fellow student-athletes from SUNY Geneseo, Keuka College, Russell Sage College, St. John Fisher University and Utica University will compete for individual honors and the team title over the 36-hole event.

2025 Empire 8 Invitational Team Capsules (Sorted by 2024 Results)
Nazareth University
Nazareth has a full group of student-athletes ready to defend its team championship. Sophomore Bethany Wineburg, the Empire 8 Women’s Golfer of the Week on Sept. 29 was the runner-up at the Nazareth Invitational last weekend and won the individual title at the Keuka College Invitational on Sept. 24. Lainie Liberatore, Abby Denz, Grace Colangelo, Kara Kopyt and Sabrina Schultz will vie for individual accolades.
St. John Fisher
The Cardinals of St. John Fisher will look to earn the E8 title after finishing just 12 strokes back of champion Nazareth at the 2024 E8 Invitational. St. John Fisher won the Nazareth Invitational on Oct. 5-6. Junior Sarah Burgess won the individual title at the Nazareth Invitational last weekend and was runner-up at the 2024 E8 Invitational. She is a two-time E8 Golfer of the Week this fall. Ava Malvaso, who finished third at the 2024 E8 Invite for Nazareth, transferred to St. John Fisher and will be in the mix for individual honors. Emma Sweazy, Naomi Cromer, Paige Landers, Paige Lasher, Bella O’Rourke and Emily Wyman will also look to contribute for the Cardinals.
SUNY Geneseo
The Knights will look to improve off of last season’s third place finish and head into the 2025 E8 Invitational after finishing second at the St. John Fisher Invitational in September and a trio of dual matches. Senior Jillian Draper is back after finishing fourth at the 2024 E8 Invitational to earn All-E8 fisrt team accolades. Junior Shannon McCrory, sophomore Lydia Hickey and first-year Avery Smith will also look to contribute.
Utica
Utica will send a strong group to Rome, as the Pioneers have earned a pair of second place finishes during the fall season. First-year Claire Draper was named the Empire 8 Women’s Golfer of the Week on Sept. 16. She was Utica’s top finisher in each event to date this season. Sophomore Alaina Weaver was the 2024 E8 Women’s Golf Rookie of the Year, while seniors Paige Graves and Emily Elwood in addition to junior Jordan Dorrity will look to lead Utica.
Keuka
Keuka will have five golfers competing for team and individual honors. Sophomore Olivia Hatch earned All-E8 second team accolades after placing eighth at the 2024 Invitational. First-year golfers Jaeda Robinson, Kaira Rivera, Abby Clark and Andriea Tiffany are set to compete for the Wolves.
Russell Sage
Senior Grace Kinkaid is expected to represent the Gators. She tied for 11th at the 2024 E8 Invitational and finished tied for 12th at the Nazareth Invitational last weekend. She will look to earn All-E8 honors in 2025.
