WEBSTER, NY – The SUNY Geneseo 200-yard medley relay team set a championship meet and overall Empire 8 record on day two of the 2025 Empire 8 Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship, held the Webster Aquatic Center on Thursday, February 20.
The nationally-ranked Knights have 558 team points to hold the lead over defending championship Hartwick College, who has 276 points after Thursday’s action. SUNY Brockport moved into third place with 210 points, while Alfred University has 194 and Nazareth, who has 181 points.
Geneseo’s 200-yard freestyle relay team of Jordan Nielsen, Jake Nielsen, Brian Pabisch and Dylan Gallub rocketed to a win by nearly six seconds in a time of 1:20.92 that set a new Empire 8 Championship and overall league record. Jake Nielsen and Pabisch had sub-20 second splits at 19.89 and 19.90 seconds, respectively.
