Undefeated St. John Fisher Women's Lacrosse Climbs to No. 18 in Most Recent IWLCA Coaches Poll

The St. John Fisher University women's lacrosse team has entered the IWLCA National Rankings, as the 2025 season is in high gear. The Cardinals have climbed No. 18 in the IWLCA Division III National poll as they begin league play this weekend with a 7-0 mark in non-league play.

Sydney Carpenter, the reigning two-time Empire 8 Player of the Year, continues to contribute all over the field for the Cardinals, leading the Cardinals in goals (21), assists (15), points (36) and draw controls (27). Hanna Kumpf is right behind her with 19 goals and 23 draw controls. Emma Biel has 17 goals and Ellie Leisen has 15 goals and 26 points this season, as the Cardinals are averaging 15.4 goals per game this season.

Kaylee Gadol holds strong in cage for Fisher. She is top-three in the Empire 8 in goals against average and save percentage with a 6.63 goals against average and is second with a .532 save percentage.

Maddie Lowney is leading the way on the defensive end. She has 16 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.

St. John Fisher is currently 7-0 overall and will begin Empire 8 play this weekend against Russell Sage on Saturday. St. John Fisher recently defeated No. 16 Ithaca College this past weekend and secured an 8-5 win over No. 8 William Smith College on Wednesday.
