GENESEO, N.Y. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its NCAA Division III award winners for the 2024-25 season, and SUNY Geneseo brought home two national honors. 2024-25 Empire 8 Men's Diver of the Year Trent Makowiec was named the Men's Diver of the Year after winning the one and three-meter dive events, and diving coach Shawn Austin was named the Diving Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career (2016, 2018, and 2024 previously).

Makowiec won the national title in both dive events, capping off a decorated career with Geneseo Swimming and Diving, where has multiple national runner-up and First-Team All-American honors to add to his two national championships. This marks Austin's second-straight Diving Coach of the Year honor, after last year when he led both Makowiec and Greg Meder to First-Team All-American honors in the one-meter dive.
