The St. John Fisher University women's lacrosse program is nationally ranked No. 11 in the preseason 2026 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll, announced on Jan. 19.
The Cardinals are looking for their 14th straight Empire 8 title in 2026 and first under head coach Marykate Edmunds. The Cardinals finished 19-1 advanced to the third round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament and finished unbeaten in E8 play. St. John Fisher enters the season riding a 49-game regular season winning streak in league play and went 206-57 overall during Linda Michele's historic reign as head coach from 2012-25. The Cardinals recently advanced to the NCAA National Semifinals in 2021. Overall, St. John Fisher has won 15 Empire 8 titles.
