Lane Edinger, a senior midfielder on the St. John Fisher University men's lacrosse team and Matthew Farrington, a senior attackman on the Nazareth University men's lacrosse team were named to the USILA Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week for games ending April 5, 2026. It is their first pretigious weekly honor.
Edinger, a native of Tully, NY, piled up 10 points on seven goals and three assists as St. John Fisher beat Uitca and Alfred last week. Edinger tallied a career-high six points in the Cardinals' 18-10 victory over Utica on Wednesday, scoring four goals and adding two assists. He had four points on three goals and an assist in a 20-3 drubbing of Alfred on Saturday. Edinger has tallied multiple points in all but one of Fisher's 11 contests this season. He has had four points or more in six of those games.
Farrington, who hails from Collegeville, PA, recorded 23 points on six goals and 17 assists in two dominant wins over SUNY Poly and Hartwick. He notched a career-high 13 points on three goals and career-best 10 assists in 26-5 win over SUNY Poly. Farrington posted 10 points on three goals and seven assists in 30-7 victory over Poly. He tallied four ground balls and two caused turnovers. His performance earned him Empire 8 Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Both St. John Fisher and Nazareth continue E8 play today, Wednesday, April 8 at 4:00pm. St. John Fisher will host SUNY Geneseo and Nazareth will travel to Keuka College.
