The Alfred University, SUNY Brockport, SUNY Geneseo, Hartwick College, Keuka College, Russell Sage College and St. John Fisher University women’s volleyball teams earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 season.
The AVCA honores 1,432 teams from NCAA, NAIA, Two-Year Colleges and high school organizations earned the AVCA/INTENT Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 season.
“It comes as no surprise to see our sport have more than 1,400 teams earn the AVCA Team Academic Award again this season,” said AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. “We are grateful for the dedication of the coaches and players who make both classroom and on-court success the lifeblood of their programs.”
The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale.
Alfred was 1-of-46 teams within the top 20% with a 3.73 combined GPA between Fall 2025 (3.62) and Spring 2026 (3.80), earning them the Academic Honor Roll.
