Utica College holds a seven-stroke lead after the fall portion of the 2019-20 Empire 8 Men’s Golf Championship, held at Seven Oaks Golf Club on the campus of Colgate University on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6. Colin McGaugh fired a 74 on Sunday to rally and take the individual lead by one stroke, shooting a two-day total of 150.
“The guys have a lot of fun playing together,” said Utica head coach Dave Clausen. “Seven Oaks is a tremendous course and a great challenge. We are looking forward to the Spring Championship in Hershey.”
The 2019-20 league champion is determined from results of the Fall Championship, followed up by the Spring Championship, which will take place on April 18-19, 2020 at Hershey Country Club. St. John Fisher has won the last nine Empire 8 titles. Utica will enter the Spring Championship with a seven stroke edge.
