The fall portion of the 2026-27 Empire 8 Men’s Golf Championship is set to take place on Sunday, October 11 and Monday, October 12 at Lake Shore Yacht and Country Club in Cicero, NY. Each of the eight Empire 8 teams will play 36 holes of golf, 18 on Sunday and 18 on Monday. Fans can follow along with

This weekend marks the first half of the 2026-27 championship, with the 36-hole spring portion of the E8 Championship scheduled for April 18-19, 2027, at Lebanon Valley Country Club in Pennsylvania. The team with the lowest score at the conclusion of the four rounds will be crowned league champion. The 2026-27 Empire 8 Champion receives an automatic berth into the 2027 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship, set for May 18-21 at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA.
St. John Fisher will look to win its fifth straight Empire 8 title and 24th overall this season. Junior Colin Patterson returns after winning the individual title at the Empire 8 Championship last season, earning Player of the Year honors. He excelled most recently against top competition at the West Pines Collegiate event in Georgia, carding a +4 over 54 holes, which including two rounds where he finished under par. Classmate Nick Years was named the 2024-25 Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and finished second behind Patterson at the league championship last season. He is a two-time All-E8 first team selection. Jack Doran, an All-E8 first team selection last season, Carson French and Robert Fischer will look to excel as the tournament gets underway.
Russell Sage recorded its best finish in program history, earning runner-up honors at the 2025-26 E8 Championship and will look to win its first league title this season. Luke Finlan, the Empire 8 Golfer of the Week on Sept. 28, returns after earning All-Empire 8 second team accolades in 2025-26. He won individual medalists honors, while Russell Sage won the team title at the Keuka College Fall Invitational on Sept. 24. Ryan Arp is a two-time All-E8 selection, while Jackson Vatter garnered All-E8 second team honors last season. Liam Gray and Jonathan Reynolds will also vie for all-league accolades.
Nazareth finished second at the 2024-25 Empire 8 Championship and have enjoyed a strong start to the 2026-27 season. Nazareth won the SUNY Oswego Championship on Sept. 26-27 and the Casler Masonry Utica University Invitational the week prior. Senior Lincoln Crosby was named the 2024-25 Empire 8 Men’s Golfer of the Year, was the 2023-24 Rookie of the Year and has earned All-E8 first team accolades in each of the last three seasons. He was the 2024-25 E8 Individual Champion. Charlie Calcagni was an All-Empire 8 second team selection in 2024-25 and Jaxstin Bingham garnered All-E8 third team honors last season. Josh Anstett, Jack Fesetch and Jason Clifton will also vie for all-E8 honors.
Utica University will look to win its second E8 title as the 2026-27 Championship gets underway. Sophomore Koltin Pickell is the reigning Empire 8 Golfer of the Week after winning individual medalist honors at the SUNY Poly Invitational. As a team, the Pioneers set a program record by combining to shoot a plus-6 in winning the Poly Invite. Senior Adyin Parekh, Jacob Martyniuk, Louie Roman and Daniel Maloney lead a formidable group. Maloney was an All-E8 selection in 2024-25, while Pickell earned third team accolades last season.
SUNY Canton has enjoyed a strong fall season to date in 2026. Raine Rumble, an All-Empire 8 first team selection following his third-place finish at the league championship in 2025-26, is a two-time E8 Golfer of the Week this fall. He leads a strong group of student-athletes for the Roos, which also includes Kahontiio Lazore, Carter Johnson, Tyler Martin and Mason Dumas.
SUNY Oswego will look to vault to the top of the Empire 8 leaderboard this season after placing tied for fifth at the 2025-26 Championship. They were the E8 runners up in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Tyce Helmick returns after earning All-Empire 8 second team honors in 2025-26. He was an Empire 8 Golfer of the Week on Sept. 28. Justin Alvord, Gavin McCarthy and Tyler Simonetti also lead a deep Oswego roster.
Keuka is expecting to improve in the standings in its final season as a league member as the 2026-27 E8 Championship gets underway. Quinn Hansen tied for fourth at the Keuka Invitational on Sept. 24 and will be expected to lead the way for the Wolves. Cayden Troup, Caleb Strade, Jackson Barr and Evan Gasparro will look to contribute and contend for all-E8 accolades.
SUNY Poly will look to improve off last season’s finish. Blake Pugh, Kayden Fischer, Evan Hansen, Maclain Fitzgerald and Landon Sage will vie for All-E8 accolades this season.
