Utica College won the 2021 Empire 8 Men’s Golf Championship, held at Timber Banks Golf Club on April 24-25. The Pioneers held off nine-time reigning champion St. John Fisher College by eight strokes for their first E8 title in program history. Oswego State placed third overall in the team scoring. Utica’s
Josh Kienz was the individual medalist for the tournament, carding a seven-over par 151. He won the individual crown by two shots over
Ryan Fecco of Oswego. Blake Pritchard of Russell Sage College finished third overall, shooting 155 over the two days.
The Pioneers earn the Empire 8’s automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship, which will take place May 11-14 at Oglebay Resort & Conference Center in Wheeling, WV.
