Five members of Nazareth's women's swimming and diving team were selected to the NCAA Division III All-America team for the 2020-21 season.
Senior swimmer Taylor Robey was selected in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles, while seniors Sidney Taylor, Taylor Woltz, junior Allie Norwood and freshman Elizabeth Tripp were selected in 1- and 3-meter diving.
The teams were selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches of America (CSCAA). Due to the cancellation of their respective national championships, selection procedures were adjusted for the season. Swimming selections were made on the basis of verified performances in bonafide competition submitted by their respective coaches. Division III diving selections were conducted via a video evaluation of performances from the 2020-21 academic year.
Robey, of Hurley, N.Y., has enjoyed an honor-laden swimming career for the Golden Flyers and was selected as an All-American in the 50 freestyle for the second year in a row. She won that event at the Rochester Invitational with a season-best time of :23.61. She also won the 100-freestyle by breaking her own school record with a time of :50.93. Robey was the 2017-18 Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and 2018-19 and 2019-20 Swimmer of the Year.
Taylor, of Rochester, N.Y., has been a four-year fixture as a diver for the Golden Flyers' men's team. He placed first in both 1- and 3-meter diving at the Rochester Invitational in March with scores of 297.95 and 318.65 respectively. Taylor was the 2019-20 Empire 8 Diver of the Year.
For the women's team in 2020-21, Norwood, Tripp and Woltz were dominant for the Golden Flyers as they finished 1-2-3 in both 1- and 3-meter diving at the Rochester Invitational.
Norwood, of Lockport, N.Y., is a repeat All-American selection as she scored 254.65 to win the 1-meter competition at the Rochester Invitational and 280.80 to win the 3-meter. She was the 2018-19 and 2019-20 Empire 8 Diver of the Year.
Tripp, of Hamburg, N.Y., enjoyed a strong first season with the Golden Flyers as she finished second in both the 1- and 3-meter competitions with scores of 252.00 and 280.10 respectively.
Woltz, of Marilla, N.Y., has excelled for four seasons for the Golden Flyers. She placed third in the 1-meter (250.70) and third in the 3-meter (256.70) at the Rochester Invitational. Woltz was the 2017-18 Empire 8 Diver of the Year.
