Defending champion St. John Fisher University holds an 18-stroke lead after the first two rounds of the 2022-23 Empire 8 Men’s Golf Championship, held at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, NY on Saturday, Oct. 1 and Sunday Oct. 2.
The Cardinals have a team score of 633 strokes to lead second place SUNY Oswego (651), while Utica University is third overall with a team score of 678 strokes. SUNY Oswego senior
Ryan Fecco holds the individual lead after the first 36 holes, with a 10-over-par score of 154 strokes. He shot identical first and second round scores of 77. He fired the second lowest round on Saturday and lowest round Sunday. Fecco holds a two-stroke lead over St. John Fisher’s
Nick Tellone. The Cardinals posted the second through fifth lowest scores of the weekend (

The 2022-23 league champion is determined from results of the Fall Championship, followed up by the 36-hole Spring Championship, which will take place on April 15-16, 2023 at Hershey Country Club.
