NICHOLASVILLE, KY – The St. John Fisher University men's golf team competed in the first two rounds of the 2023 NCAA DIII Championship on Tuesday, May 16 and Wednesday, May 17 at Keene Trace Golf Club. The Cardinals finished 39th overall as a team.
St. John Fisher record a team score of 640 as a team for the two rounds. On day one, the Cardinals shot a 325 and 315 on day two for a two-day total of plus-64. Methodist University and Piedmont University are tied for the team lead a minus-3 with team scores of 573 strokes. The top 18 teams advance to the final two rounds. which will be played on May 18-19.
RJ Juodatis led the way for the Cardinals by shooting a two-day total of 156 (plus-12). Benjamin Fox shot a 79 on Tuesday and 80 on Wednesday for a two-day total of 159. Bryce Barber shot a two-day total of 161, while Nick Tellone was a plus-20 (164) over the two days.
St. John Fisher advanced to the NCAA Tourmament after winning its 18th Empire 8 Championship in 2022-23.
