BOULDER CITY, NV – The St. John Fisher University men's golf wrapped up play at the in the NCAA Men's Golf Championship on Wednesday, May 15. The Cardinals were in contention to advance after a strong round one score on Tuesday, but could not replicate that success in round two Wednesday to miss the team cut, as the top-18 teams advance to the third round on Friday. St. John Fisher finished 30th out of 43 teams with a two-day team score of 610 (+34).
Nick Tellone finished Wednesday's action with a 77 (+5), hitting even par in the back 9. He finished the competition with a mark of 149 (+5) after hitting par in the first round. Luke Buckley shot a 79 (+8) in the second round and totaled a score of 153 (+9) after two rounds of golf. Benjamin Fox recorded a score of 82 (+10) after the second round, which put him at a final score of 155 (+11) after day two. RJ Juodaitis had the same day two score as Fox, and with his first-round results he concluded the competition with a total score of 157 (+13). Joe DePasquale had a two-stroke improvement in the second round, hitting a 78 (+6) after going 80 (+8) in the first day.
The Cardinals were tied for 18th after day one, recording a team score of 294 (+6).
