2024-25 Empire 8 Men’s Golf Fall Season Tees Off

St. John Fisher University looks to earn its fourth consecutive Empire 8 title, as the 2024-25 Empire 8 men’s golf season is underway. The 36-hole fall portion of the 2024-25 Empire 8 Championship will take place at Lake Shore Yacht and Country Club in Cicero, NY, hosted by Russell Sage College on Oct. 6-7. The 36-hole spring portion of the E8 Championship will be played in April, 2025 and will be announced later in the fall. The 2024-25 Empire 8 Championship receives an automatic berth into the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship, set for May 20-23, hosted by St. John Fisher at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, NY.
 
2024-25 Empire 8 Men's Golf Players to Watch (Sorted Alphabetically by Name)

Lincoln Crosby, Nazareth, So., Chevy Chase, MD/DeMatha Catholic – Crosby was named the 2023-24 Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and earned All-E8 first team accolades after finishing third at the Empire 8 Championships.
 
Tyler Donohue, Oswego, Sr., Bristol, CT/Bristol Eastern – Donohue returns after garnering All-E8 third team honors in 2022-23 and second team accolades in 2023-24, finishing 10th overall.
 
RJ Juodaitis, St. John Fisher, Sr., Endwell, NY/Union-Endicott – Juodaitis is a three-time All-Empire 8 selection, having earned first team honors in each of the last two seasons and second team honors in 2021-22. He finished fifth at last year’s championship.
 
Nathan Macdonald, Utica, Jr., Canton, MA/Canton – Macdonald earned All-Empire 8 second team accolades at the 2023-24 Empire 8 Championship, placing eighth overall.
 
Dawson Miletich, Keuka, Jr., Malone, NY/Malone – Miletich was Keuka’s top finisher at the 2023-24 Empire 8 Championship, placing 23rd overall.
 
Blake Pugh, SUNY Poly, Jr., Parish, NY/Atlmar-Parish-Williamstown – Pugh will be expected to lead the way for the Wildcats in 2024-25.
 
Elijah Waterhouse, Russell Sage, Sr., Lake Luzerne, NY/Lake Luzerne – Waterhouse placed 21st at the 2023-24 Empire 8 Championships last season.

St. John Fisher
St. John Fisher will look to win its 20th Empire 8 title this season. The Cardinals and Monroe County Sports Commission are set to host the 2025 NCAA Golf Championship at Midvale Country Club in Penfield. A host of golfers will compete for All-Empire 8 accolades, led by graduate student Nick Tellone and senior RJ Juodaitis. Tellone was the Empire 8 Individual Champion and was the Empire 8 Player of the Year in 2022-23. Juodaitis is a three-time All-Empire 8 selection, having earned first team honors in each of the last two seasons and second team honors in 2021-22. He finished fifth at last year’s championship. In addition, head coach Bob Simms expects newcomers Nick Years, Colin Patterson, and Rob Fischer to step right in and compete for spots in the top-six.
 
SUNY Oswego
SUNY Oswego will look to vault to the top of the Empire 8 leaderboard this season after placing second the past three seasons. Senior Tyler Donohue returns after garnering All-E8 third team honors in 2022-23 and second team accolades in 2023-24, finishing 10th overall. In addition, junior Evan McDonald, Jacob Banks, Tyler Kozlowski, and Dante Casella will lead the way for 2023-24 Empire 8 Coach of the Year Mike Howard.  Senior Michael Douglas will look to make an immediate impact after spending time playing at the NCAA Division I level at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Canisius College.
 
Utica
Utica will look to win its second E8 title as the 2024-25 year gets underway under first-year head coach Scott Gehringer. Junior Nathan Mcdonald returns, looking to earn All-Empire 8 honors for the second straight season, as he was a second team pick in 2023-24. Graduate student, Adam Woodmansee, a four-time All-E8 pick is back for his final season, while junior Neil Roman, an All-E8 third team pick, in addition to Carter Lathrop, who was a 2022-23 first team selection. The Pioneers have strong depth in 2024-25 with 10 returning student-athletes.
 
Russell Sage
Russell Sage will look to improve off its fourth-place finish last year at the E8 Championship. Senior Elijah Waterhouse is back to lead the way for the Gators, while 2022-23 All-E8 third team pick Shane Kammerman, 2023-24 All-E8 third team selection Ryan Arp and Devin Gilbert, will also be returning to lead the way for the Gators. Newcomer Matt Stoliker will be a key addition to the team.
 
Nazareth
The Golden Flyers will look to improve after finishing fourth at the 2023-24 Empire 8 Championships. Sophomore Lincoln Crosby was named the 2023-24 Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and earned All-E8 first team accolades after finishing third at the Empire 8 Championships. Junior Vincent Falgiatano tied for first at the Nazareth Spring Invitational and won the Elmira Invitational in the spring and will look to earn All-E8 honors in 2024-25. Graduate student Thomas McIntosh earned All-E8 third team honors last season. Nazareth will add graduate transfer Anthony Falgiatano, older brother of Vincent who played at Division I LeMoyne College as a key piece to the squad.
 
Keuka
Keuka is expecting to improve in the standings for head coach Ben Guiliano as the 2024-25 season gets underway. Junior Dawson Miletich will lead the way after being the top-finisher for the Wolves at the 2023-24 E8 Championship. Nate Gilette, Tyler Green, and Cam Hovater will also be expected to contribute and lead Keuka this season.
 
SUNY Poly
SUNY Poly makes its Empire 8 debut in 2024-25 under first-year head Steven Campanaro.  The Wildcats return five student-athletes from last season, including senior Nathan Sonnacchio in addition to juniors William Pruess and Blake Pugh. The Wildcats make their season debut as E8 members at the SUNY Delhi Invitational on Aug. 31 and host the SUNY Poly Invitational on Sept. 20.
