The fall portion of the 2025-26 Empire 8 Men’s Golf Championship is set to take place on Sunday, October 12 and Monday, October 13 at Teugega Country Club in Rome, NY. Each of the eight Empire 8 teams will play 36 holes of golf, 18 on Sunday and 18 on Monday. Fans can follow along with
live scoring via scoreboard powered by clippd.
This weekend marks the first half of the 2025-26 championship, with the 36-hole spring portion of the E8 Championship scheduled for April 2026 at Lebanon Valley Country Club in Pennsylvania. The team with the lowest score at the conclusion of the four rounds will be crowned league champion. The 2025-26 Empire 8 Champion receives an automatic berth into the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship, set for May 12-15 at Mission Resort Club in Howey-In-The-Hills, FL.
St. John Fisher will look to win its 22nd Empire 8 title this season with a young roster that includes six sophomores and a pair of first-year standouts. Sophomore Nick Years was named the 2024-25 Empire 8 Rookie of the Year and finished fifth at the league championship last season. Fellow sophomore Colin Patterson has enjoyed a strong 2025-26 season to date and will be expected to vie for All-Conference accolades. Classmates Jack Doran and Robert Fischer, along with first-year Gavin Ruggio will look to excel as the tournament gets underway.
The Golden Flyers of Nazareth finished second at the 2024-25 Empire 8 Championship and have enjoyed a strong start to the 2025-26 season. Junior Lincoln Crosby was named the 2024-25 Empire 8 Men’s Golfer of the Year, was the 2023-24 Rookie of the Year and has earned All-E8 first team accolades in each of the last two seasons. He was the 2024-25 E8 Individual Champion. Sophomore Charlie Calcagni was an All-Empire 8 second team selection and senior Vincent Falgiatano was an All-Empire 8 third team pick in 2024-25. Josh Anstett was the Empire 8 Golfer of the Week on Sept. 29 after a strong finish at the Oswego Invitational, while first-year standouts Jaxstin Bingham and Jack Fesetch will also vie for all-E8 honors.
SUNY Oswego will look to vault to the top of the Empire 8 leaderboard this season after placing third in 2024-25 and second the three seasons prior. Junior John O’Neill, along with first-year standouts Justin Alvord, Sam Ligas, Jack Shaw, and junior Tyce Helmick will look to lead the way in 2025-26.
Utica University will look to win its second E8 title as the 2025-26 Championship gets underway. Junior Adyin Parekh earned Empire 8 Golfer of the Week honors earlier in the season and will be a top contender for the Pioneers. Daniel Maloney and Nathan Macdonald both return after earning All-Empire 8 second team honors in 2024-25.
Russell Sage will look to improve off its fifth-place finish last year at the E8 Championship. Luke Finlan and Ryan Arp return after finishing 16th and 17th, respectively at the 2024-25 Empire 8 Championship. Liam Gray, Nick Park and Henry Lewis will all vie for all-league accolades. The Gators finished 10th at the RPI Invitational over the weekend and earned a third-place finish at the Keuka Invitational on Sept. 24.
SUNY Canton has enjoyed a strong fall season to date in 2025. Anthony Marion, Raine Rumble, and Kahontiio Lazore are a strong trio. Marion is a two-time E8 Golfer of the Week this season, while Rumble was the E8 Golfer of the Week on Sept. 9. The Roos were in action this past weekend at the Nazareth Invitational, with Rumble and Marion recording top three finishes.
Keuka is expecting to improve in the standings as the 2025-26 E8 Championship gets underway. Tyler Green, Nicholas Knoth, Cam Hovater, Nathan Gillette, and Quinn Hansen will be expected to lead the way for the Wolves. Green and Hovater are the top two returning finishers for the Wolves from the 2024-25 E8 Championships.
Host SUNY Poly will look to improve off last season’s finish. Ryan Waring is the top returning finisher for the Wildcats from last season’s Empire 8 Championship. Jack Montayne, Blake Pugh, Josh Slater, Ryan Waring, Lubasz Dubicki will vie for All-E8 accolades this season.
