Houghton 1 (5-10, 4-4 Empire 8)

Oswego started strong in doubles, taking all three matchups to grab an early lead. The No. 1 duo of Anthony Marcano and Matt Mannara set the tone with a convincing 8-4 win. Meanwhile, Austin Davis and Jose Miguel Garcia added another point at the No. 3 spot with a 6-3 victory. The No. 2 pair of Tyler Yhun and Colin Byer fought hard in a tightly contested match and won in a tiebreaker.

Oswego's depth and consistency shone in singles play, winning four of the six matches and leaving two unfinished. At the top of the lineup, Marcano and Mannara continued their dominance with straight-set wins, not dropping more than three games each. Garcia cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win at fifth singles, and although Austin Davis dropped his match to Houghton's Graham Cook at third singles, his teammates more than compensated.

The Lakers will head to Nazareth University on Friday to take on Thomas College in a semi final match up in the Empire 8 Conference Tournament. Match time is set for 5 p.m.
