Empire 8 Has 98 Student-Athletes Named to 2025 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad

The Empire 8 announced 86 student-athletes from nine member institutions were named to the 2025 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. In addition, nine seniors or fifth-year student-athletes earned Academic Squad honors for the fourth consecutive season.

Over 1,800 student-athletes from 147 Division III institutions earned recognition on the 2025 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad. Nazareth University led the way with 17 honorees, while St. John Fisher University was second with 16 honorees and Keuka College was third with 12. SUNY Geneseo and Hartwick College had nine student-athletes selected, Utica University had eight and Alfred University had seven. Elmira College and Russell Sage College wrapped up with five student-athletes each honored. 

The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach. Here is the complete list of 2025 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad recipients.
