The Empire 8 announced that 32 student-athletes earned 2025 NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction Recognition. This distinguished program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have exhibited exceptional academic excellence, achieving a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher throughout the fall semester of the 2025-26 academic year.
An impressive total of 543 undergraduate student-athletes across Division III have earned well-deserved recognition as NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction. Nazareth University led the way with seven honorees, while St. John Fisher University was right behind at six. Hartwick College SUNY Geneseo and Keuka College had three. Alfred University, SUNY Brockport, Elmira College and Utica University had two and Russell Sage College wrapped it up with one.
