The Empire 8 Conference announced its 2021 Men’s Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference selections on Friday, May 14. St. John Fisher, the 2021 E8 Outdoor Champions, led the way with 16 student-athletes who earned 22 different honors.

To be named an E8 All-Conference selection, a student athlete must have finished in the top two of an event at the Conference's Championship Meet. Winners of the event are named to the First Team, while the Second Team is comprised of the runner-up from each event.

The Empire 8 will name its formal 2021 Outdoor Track and Field yearly award winners and Sportsman of the Year team after nationals, which are scheduled for May 27-29.

St. John Fisher senior Kyle Rollins was named Empire 8 Outdoor Field Athlete of the Meet for the second straight time after winning the high jump, long jump and triple jump events. Rollins won his first outdoor long jump title with a leap of 6.76 meters. Rollins, who is the NCAA’s national season leader in both the high jump and triple jump, easily won both events. Rollins won his third straight E8 high jump title, setting a conference championship meet record by clearing 2.10 meters. He won his second straight E8 triple jump championship with a leap of 14.25 meters.

St. John Fisher junior middle distance runner Grant Stokoe and Utica freshman sprinter Daijon Richards were named 2021 Empire 8 Co-Track Athletes of the Meet. Stokoe won the 800-meters in a time of 2:01.29 and 1,500-meters in 4:12.81, while running the anchor leg on St. John Fisher’s victorious 4 x 800-meter relay team (8:20.27).

Richards won both the 100-meters (10.87 seconds) and 200-meter (22.69 seconds) dashes, while teaming up to win the 4 x 100-meter relay in a time of 43.28 seconds.
