The 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships qualifiers were announced on Friday, May 17 with a total of five student-athletes from the Empire 8 Conference qualifying to compete for national titles.
The NCAA Championship meet will run May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Live video of the meet will be available at NCAA.com.
There are a total of three individuals accepted to compete at the women’s national competition, while a pair of individuals accepted to compete at the men’s national competition. Utica University graduate student Jane Fahy is attempting to earn her third All-American honor in the shot put after placing sixth at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championship, while earning runner-up honors at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championship. Utica junior Hunter Logan will look for his second outdoor All-American accolade in the shot put after finishing third in 2022. Both Makenna King of St. John Fisher University and Justin Swavely of Utica are competing at the NCAA Outdoor Championship for the second straight season, while sophomore Rosie Morse of Nazareth is competing at the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time.
